Once a month, pick up your food package at a (https://www.health.ny.gov/prevention/nutrition/csfp/apply.htm) nearby CSFP site (https://access.nyc.gov/programs/supplemental-nutrition-assistance-program-snap/#how-it-works) . Packages often include:
  • Dairy, like cheese and powdered milk
  • Rice, pasta, breakfast cereal, and other grains
  • Canned meat, chicken, or fish
  • Canned vegetables and fruits
  • Canned or dried beans
  • Peanut butterIn the summer, get extra vouchers to buy fresh produce at farmers' markets. You can get both SNAP benefits and CSFP food at the same time.

    You qualify for CSFP if all of the following are true:

  • You're 60 or older
  • You're a New York State resident
  • Your household income is at or below these limits
